Is this where today's professed christians have strayed from Jesus' message?

I believe that Jesus's message is true and loving and I think we should not try to rationalize or over-complicate it. I believe that instead of wasting our time trying to convince others (true conversions only happen by God anyway) we should focus more on living more like Christ would and being examples of the believers as Paul actually told Timothy
