Wouldn't it be pointless to finish High School if you don't plan on going to college?

And i think this is a VERY valid question considering the sucky economy were in, because the only jobs a high school graduate would be able to get is either fast food (Mcdonald's etc.), and factory jobs which DO NOT require a High School diploma, so it would be pointless to put in the effort to graduate if you plan on going to college, am i right?
