Suicide Question?

Yes, this question is a bit morbid, but has anyone here ever survived a serious suicide attempt? What can you tell me about the cirstances surrounding the event? Was it something you planned in advance, or was it a relatively spontaneous gesture? Did you have a history of previous attempts?
