Sending my mother to "home for the aged"?

It depends on the individual. If your mom gets around OK and has no mental problems, such as Alzheimer's, then she should probably not be in a home. My mother is almost 85 years old and she still lives in her own home. The thought of putting her in a nursing home has never entered anyone's mind.
