Scriptural dilemma??

No there is no contradiction or disagreement. First, we are dealing with TWO different witnesses, Matthew and John.in verse 35,36, and 37 of John(the disciple) we see the John the Baptist was with two of his own disciples(Peter and Andrew).verse36 John indicates that Jesus is the Christ, then verse 37 tells us that Jesus spoke to THEM and they followed Him. Then John the disciple tells us that going back in time a little the way that Peter came to be there with Andrew was that Andrew had already been following John the baptist and had seen the One that John the Baptist called the Messiah, that being Jesus, and that Peter should bethere with them. So Andrew then brought Peter with him and then go back to verses 35,36,37, and that is the way it happened, same as Matthew, but more detail.
