What are alternatives to Restasis?

Your Ophthalmologist should have given you the risks benefits and alternatives to Restasis before you were given a prescription. If you are having that bad of a problem with the Restasis, stop it. You can get plugs, which if placed correctly, have little risk. Tiny risk of infection, over tearing a possibility. Your Ophthalmologist should start with the disolvable plugs first. If these work, he can place extended duration plugs which last 3-6 months. Talk to your Ophthalmologist. I would avoid optometrists. They are not real doctors.
